Population: About 98,700 Suba and Simbiti People
The Suba and Simbiti are two separate people groups that speak the same language. The people working on translating the Bible are Simbiti, but the hope is that both groups can use the same version of the Bible.
Religions: Christian, a few Muslims, and people who practice traditional religion.
In the traditional Suba-Simbiti religion, the sun is the main god, and people also worship their deceased ancestors. They believe that these ancestors must be kept happy or else bad things will happen. Rainmakers and witch-doctors are also very powerful people in their group.
The Suba and Simbiti people live North of Musoma on a peninsula that stretches out into Lake Victoria. They are mostly fishers and farmers.

Robert is a pastor of a local church. He is married and has ELEVEN kids!!! They range in age from 2 to 25 years old, and there are three sets of twins!!!
Albinus is also a pastor of a different church. He is also married and has six kids, with one set of twins. :)
Both guys are dedicated to the work of Bible Translation. They think that getting the Word into their language will really change their people for the better!
